NBSC ENHANCES FOI INITIATIVES THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THE 2025 NATIONAL SUMMIT IN MANILA
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) strengthened its commitment to transparency and public accountability through its participation in the 2025 Freedom of Information (FOI) Summit held at the Bellevue Manila, Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on November 27, 2025. Representing the College were Ms. Aiza Mae H. Bontuyan and Ms. Christyl Jane B. Pelae of the Records and Archival Office (RAO).
The event brought together government agencies, academic institutions, and key stakeholders dedicated to promoting transparency and public access to information. The summit highlighted best practices, policy updates, and innovative strategies for advancing FOI implementation across sectors. Ms. Bontuyan and Ms. Pelae attended plenary sessions and breakout discussions focusing on digital transformation, open data systems, citizen engagement, and responsible information management.
NBSC’s participation provided valuable insights for strengthening its information management systems, improving accountability, and aligning with national FOI standards. The College aims to integrate these learnings into its ongoing initiatives to enhance public service delivery and operational efficiency. Through its engagement in the summit, NBSC reaffirms its commitment to fostering transparency, empowering stakeholders, and contributing to a more open and informed public sector.
